Job Summary

The Arizona Serve Training & Development Program Manager will manage and facilitate
professional development training for all AmeriCorps members based in Southern Arizona.
Additionally, they will manage a team of AmeriCorps State members including high school
and opportunity youth students. This position reports to the Director of Training and Member
Experience.  This position is located in Tucson Arizona

Essential Responsibilities

Training and Professional Development
●   In coordination with all Program Management Staff they will develop and implement a plan for 
onboarding and professional development training for AmeriCorps members.
●   Train Tucson based team leaders and staff on the development of new training content, 
improvement of training systems, and deployment strategies with collaboration from the Director of 
Training and Member Experience.
●   In collaboration with Arizona Serve staff and team leaders they will implement member and site 
supervisor training, including on-site orientation, site supervisor training, Civic Leadership, 
Guest Speaker Series, and other member-focused training and workshops.
●   Coordinate with Program Managers to train team leaders in team meeting facilitation in Tucson.
●   Work with the Director of Training and Member Experience to develop and expand Civic Leadership 
training both in-person and online to ensure they are accessible for all members.
●   Work with the Director of Training and Member Experience to develop and expand evaluation 
metrics for training material and content.
●   Facilitate staff professional development opportunities both within Arizona Serve and make 
outside opportunities available when appropriate.

Member Management
●   Manage and train a cohort of AmeriCorps State members through onboarding, team meetings, 
evaluations, and other support as needed.
●   Hold introduction, mid, and end of service check-in meetings with the members and their host 
sites.
●   Assist with performance measure data collection by ensuring members meet timesheet and data 
reporting deadlines.
●   Comply with AmeriCorps State policies, procedures, and compliance.
●   Coordinate intentional activities throughout a member’s term to foster connectedness to Arizona 
Serve, Prescott College, and the resources available in Pima County.
●   Coordinate potential post-service opportunities, including the ability to transition to 
Prescott College academic programs.
●   Represent Arizona Serve of Prescott College and National Service at local, state, and
national events.●   Participate in a collaborative partnership with the Prescott College campuses, staff, and
faculty in both Prescott, AZ, and the K-20 Changemaker Campus in Tucson.
 

Education and Experience

Education, Skills, and Abilities:
●   Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience 
●   Previous national service experience highly desirable
●   Ability to supervise others and history of leadership
●   Compliance and quality assurance experience highly desirable
●   Experience developing and managing partnerships with nonprofits, government agencies, or 
educational institutions
●   Strong organizational skills
●   Excellent writing skills, including report writing
●   Comfortable using Microsoft Office products such as Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Google 
apps 

Program Manager Benefits
●   Salary range of $39,000 - $43,000
