Job Summary

This individual interacts with students, faculty, program directors and others within the community to highlight the College’s offerings and events. Under the guidance of the Marketing Strategist, this position is responsible for creating (writing/producing), managing, and monitoring content on the College’s social media accounts. In addition, this role will support the Advancement Office in bringing awareness to giving and alumni relations. Evening and weekend work is necessary on an as-needed basis. This is a full-time, on-campus position.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Plan, create and maintain strategic content for all Prescott College social media accounts including, but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn.
  • Explore opportunities to expand social engagement with target audiences including potential and existing students, faculty and staff, and the greater community.
  • Ensure that content is fresh, engaging, compelling and meaningful.
  • Create graphics independently and with the support of graphic designers that support social media promotion of events and news in design platforms, such as Canva, Illustrator, InDesign.
  • Capture images and video footage to create videos to produce and edit videos for social media, website and other needs
  • Monitor ad campaigns on various platforms, including social media and Google Ads, and assist with the creation of new campaigns as requested
  • Support the Marketing Team in the development of strategic marketing initiatives and activities to help grow enrollment and assist academic departments.
  • Implement marketing plans that include print, broadcast and digital content, as needed.
  • Create branded social media and advertising campaigns, and support the marketing and design teams by coordinating and collating content.
  • Monitor tracking systems for marketing campaigns and online activities.
  • Create, maintain, and strengthen the organization’s overall brand through all media avenues.
  • Manage Ecos Newsletter (collect and write content, send monthly newsletters)
  • Create and update marketing materials and annual fund appeals for Advancement Office
  • Assist with writing Advancement and Alumni Relations content for email blasts, website and mail as needed
  • Creation of video and media content related to annual giving and alumni
  • Attend and assist with events as needed
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Simplify complex data into a user-friendly format such as graphs, charts and other visual aids for clients and management.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience/working familiarity with Google suite of products.
  • Experience working in a team dynamic.
  • Experience with design/broadcast production software: Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, iMovie or Premiere Pro or willing to learn
  • Experience or willingness to learn content management platforms, such as ActiveCampaign, LeadPages, HootSuite, etc.
