Job Summary

The Student Engagement Coordinator creates a vibrant co-curricular experience by coordinating educational, social, and cultural programs to foster experiences, which develop students and student leaders. Working with Student Life, the Chief Diversity Officer, the Residence Life Coordinator, the Frantz Fanon Community Strategy Center (FFCSC), the sustainability Center and individual clubs and Prescott College Community members, the Coordinator will proactively engage in cultivating transformative experiences on-campus.  This position supports a lively and active campus community environment, which is conducive to recruit, train, and provide ongoing development for campus student leaders.   The Coordinator is expected to maintain regular contact with club officers and student leaders to assist with planning and execution of events, fundraisers, travel, service activities, trainings, and other programs and opportunities. The Coordinator will also assist in the development of and host various events and training workshops for student leaders.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinate campus activities, engagement opportunities and student development.
  • Collaborate with Campus Clubs, organizations and community members to develop rich events and engagement opportunities relevant to Prescott Colleges Mission and Academic Interests.
  • Supervises the governance and activities of Student Union Board.
  • Supervises the Student Union and Activity Centers
  • Assembles, maintains and updates student resources in collaboration with Academic Advising, Mental Health and Student Support Services.
  • Collaborates with events management to develop student event protocols.
  • Trains student workers, club members and individuals in event planning at Prescott College
  • Supervises Work study
  • Assist and coordinate residential programming activities and maintain on-call hours within Residence Life
  • Provide holistic coaching for student leaders
  • Coordinate with the Center for Advising on student achievement and intervention
  • Assist student leaders and clubs in coordinating and marketing events.
  • Identifies student engagement opportunities on campus and in the greater community
  • Supervises or coordinates supervision for  student hosted events
  • Maintains a flexible schedule that is responsive to the dynamics of the college  environment
  • Compile and produce weekly events newsletter
  • Collaborate with Marketing to promote events and community sponsored activities
  • Maintain and supervise campus shuttle program
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

Graduation from a four-year college or university, or the equivalent. Degree in a field related to the behavioral sciences or another job-related field, or specialized training related to working with the target population. Experience in advising or mentoring at the professional or paraprofessional level with a diverse array of students.
