Job Summary

Are you a scholar-activist on the front lines of racial justice? The Cultural and Regional Studies (CRS) Department at Prescott College seeks to hire a dynamic, interdisciplinary scholar with a commitment to experiential pedagogy to teach undergraduate courses that connect students with movements for social and environmental justice and to coordinate the Prescott College Frantz Fanon Community Strategy Center during the 2021-2022 academic year.

The candidate we seek will have direct, hands-on experience with community organizing and activism supporting movements for racial, economic, environmental, and social justice and enthusiasm for providing substantive opportunities for students to learn by participating in campaigns and other forms of political work.  We welcome applicants from any field in the Humanities or Social Sciences, including, but not limited to: Black, African American or Africana Studies; Chicano, Xicanx, or Latinx Studies; American Indian or Indigenous Studies; Geography, History, Sociology, Urban Studies, or Literary Studies; Ethnic Studies, Labor Studies, American Studies, or Cultural Studies.

Associate Faculty positions serving on campus undergraduate students are located at Prescott College’s main campus in Prescott, Arizona. Prescott College hosts online masters and PhD programs centered on environmental and social justice.  We encourage faculty to contribute to all programs and thus mentoring and committee work may also be negotiated.  Application process is available at
